Summary: The GolfSpeed Android app collects no data at all. It has no accounts, no servers, and makes no network requests. Every video you analyze is processed entirely on your own device and never leaves it. There is no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking.
This policy covers the GolfSpeed Android application distributed on Google Play by Willconia. The GolfSpeed website is a separate product with its own accounts and payments — see the web service privacy policy for that. Nothing in the app shares data with the website.
None. We do not collect personal information, device identifiers, location, contacts, usage analytics, or crash reports. The app has no sign-in and no backend to send anything to.
To estimate club head speed, the app reads a swing video that you choose. Every step runs locally on your phone:
Your videos are never uploaded. We have no ability to access them.
The app has no INTERNET permission.It is therefore incapable of making a network request of any kind, whatever the code might attempt. It also requests no camera, microphone, location, contacts, or phone-state access. You can revoke media access at any time in Android Settings › Apps › GolfSpeed › Permissions.
Android builds an app's final permission list by merging in the manifests of every library it bundles, so a permission can appear without the developer asking for it. The list above is the complete set present in the shipped app, including the one that arrives this way.
We share no data with anyone, because we hold no data. We do not sell or transfer any information to third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.
Analysis results and temporary frame data live only in the app's private storage on your device. Uninstalling GolfSpeed removes all of it. Clips you exported to your Gallery stay there until you delete them yourself. Because we store nothing on our side, there is no account or server-side data to request deletion of.
GolfSpeed is a general-audience sports utility and is not directed to children under 13. We knowingly collect no data from anyone, including children.
The app bundles the MoveNet pose estimation model (Google, Apache License 2.0) and open source Flutter libraries, all running offline. The full licence list is available inside the app under About › View licenses, and on our Open Source Licenses page.
Head speed figures are estimates derived from video pose analysis and a double-pendulum model. They are for reference and practice only, and are not a substitute for a calibrated launch monitor or radar device. Accuracy depends on camera angle, frame rate, lighting, and the arm and club lengths you enter.
The app is built for driver swings filmed face-on. Right- and left-handed golfers are detected automatically; filming down the target line understates the result.
Ball speed, carry and total distance are projected from the estimated head speed using fixed tour-average factors. They are not measurements of your ball flight — the app cannot see strike quality, spin or launch angle.
